What is Credit Card Surcharging?

Credit card surcharging is when a business adds a small fee to a customer’s bill to cover the cost of processing a credit card payment. For example, if a customer’s total is $100 and there’s a 3% surcharge, they’d pay $103 if they use a credit card.
