What makes GoTab different?

GoTab uses open tabs so guests can order freely during their visit and close out when they're ready. How the tab authorizes is yours to choose. By default we initiate one authorization when the tab opens and only charge the guest's card once when it closes. If you would rather find out early that a card will not cover the tab, you can turn on progressive authorization, which re-checks the card as each order is added — it catches a failing card while the guest is still at the bar, and it leaves a pending hold on their statement for each check.
