Meet the Owner | Kevin Carr

A Dallas native, Kevin Carr, boasts a diverse business background, spanning five entrepreneurial ventures across financial services, internet technologies, and manufacturing over the past 25 years. An avid homebrewer for over 15 years, Kevin developed a passion for craft beer during his travels as the owner of a legal software company. Disappointed by Dallas's lack of craft breweries, he embarked on a 2.5-year journey, researching the industry in beer-centric cities like Denver and Portland.

In January 2013, Community Beer Company was born, making it the 3rd largest independently-owned craft brewery in Texas under Kevin's leadership. In May 2021, the brewery moved to a new 70,000-square-foot facility featuring a two-story taproom, biergarten, and restaurant. It expanded product offerings like spirits, wine, non-alcoholic beer, hard seltzers, carbonated water, hop tea, and hop water. This centralized location aligns with Kevin's vision of providing quality local craft beer, fostering community gatherings, and supporting charitable initiatives through The Greater Good.
