Winter dining is looking very different this year. Restaurants and breweries are keeping their outdoor dining areas open during the winter months to accommodate guests while restrictions are limiting operators’ seating capacity. Restaurants are investing in heaters, fire pits, enclosed tents, and even 7-foot plastic pods. Many local restaurants have resorted to only offering takeout and delivery options; however, larger venues have faced more limitations, making their revenues difficult to maintain.

Caboose shares their experience using GoTab to take orders both inside and outside. Their customers can get comfortable and they are able to order easily, directly from their phones. They encourage customers to bring their own blankets and partake in their “Crappy Hour,” which is an outdoor happy hour when temps dip below 50 degrees! They have done an amazing job creatively accommodating their guests and making them as comfortable as possible at their outdoor dining area. Caboose also uses GoTab for curbside pick up which is free to activate from now until the end of the year!
