PRODUCT OVERVIEW

What is GoTab's Self-Ordering Kiosk?

GoTab's Self-Ordering Kiosk is a touchscreen ordering station where guests build their own order, pay, and send it straight to the kitchen — no server required. It's not a separate, lightweight product bolted on for kiosks: it's the same guest-facing ordering engine that powers GoTab's QR code and mobile ordering, running on dedicated kiosk hardware. That matters more than it sounds like it should. Because the kiosk, the QR code, and the guest's own phone are all the same underlying experience, a menu update, a new modifier, or an item that just sold out shows up everywhere at once — not on some screens and not others.

One Menu, However the Guest Wants to Order

GoTab doesn't ask an operator to choose between staff, kiosks, or phones — guests get all three, side by side, and use whatever they're comfortable with. A first-time guest might stand in line at the counter; the next visit, having watched someone else use the kiosk, they might try it themselves. Nothing about the kiosk forces a guest's hand, and nothing about adding a kiosk means fewer ways to order.

HOW IT WORKS

How GoTab's Self-Ordering Kiosk Works

It's the same ordering engine as GoTab's QR and mobile ordering

The kiosk isn't a separately built product — it's GoTab's guest-facing ordering experience, running on dedicated kiosk hardware.

Menus and stock sync live

If the kitchen 86's an item, it disappears from the kiosk immediately — and required modifiers can't be skipped; the kiosk won't submit an order that's missing one.

Open tabs and RFID passes carry over to the kiosk

A guest who started a tab at the counter or with an RFID pass can walk up to a kiosk and keep ordering on it — no new authorization, no separate ticket.

Food halls get one cart, not one kiosk per vendor

A guest can order from multiple vendors in a single kiosk transaction, and each order routes to the right kitchen.

This is built to give guests options, not to replace your staff. The goal is a guest who wants to order fast on a kiosk can, and a guest who wants to talk to a person still can too — kiosks add a path, they don't close one.

WHY GOTAB

Why Choose GoTab's Self-Ordering Kiosk

Request A Demo
01

One ordering engine, not a bolted-on kiosk mode

The kiosk runs the same experience as GoTab's QR and mobile ordering, so there's one menu to manage, not several.

02

Guests choose, adoption follows

Kiosk, counter, and phone all stay open — operators don't have to force guests onto a kiosk to get the benefit of having one.

03

Tabs and RFID passes travel with the guest

A tab started anywhere can be picked back up at the kiosk, with no new authorization.

04

Frees staff for the kitchen and the floor

Guests handle their own order and payment, so labor shifts toward the parts of the job that need a person.

CUSTOMER STORIES

Trusted by Hospitality Leaders

“Now we're selling more food. All the vendors are noticing more food sales based on our numbers and the guest experience.”

Corby Felsher

Co-owner and Owner-Operator, The Golden Mill

“One of the great things about the QR codes and how well that system functions is that it has enabled us to save on labor because we don't need to have waitstaff in the traditional sense.”

Amanda Guillory

Director of Operations, Bumpy Pickle

“People used to spend 40 minutes of their visit waiting in line. Now they're just sitting with their family and their beer arrives. Before, they'd walk out. Now they stay.”

Jeff Laity

Founder/Owner, The Patch Brewery

“Before, we were doing $2,000 to $3,000 a day in reservations. When we switched to this simplified all-inclusive model, we started booking more than $30,000 a day.”

Bobak Mostaghasi

Founder and CEO, Atomic Golf

“We tried another QR code ordering system in another store and it fell flat. But with GoTab, we're seeing triple or quadruple the sales compared to that other store, and that's with less attendance. Guests love it.”

Jacob Schulman

Vice President of Operations, Schulman Theatres

“Attendance for some events can soar from 5,000–7,000 on an average day, to an astonishing 110,000 guests for our annual Breeders Cup event. GoTab helps the team achieve exceptional agility”

Can guests customize their orders at a GoTab Self-Ordering Kiosk?

Yes. Guests can select modifiers, add or remove ingredients, choose available options, and provide the information needed to customize their orders. This gives guests greater control while reducing the ordering errors that can occur when requests are relayed verbally.

Orders placed through a GoTab Self-Ordering Kiosk flow directly into the GoTab platform and can be automatically routed to the appropriate kitchen display system, printer, prep station, or merchant. This helps teams begin fulfillment quickly without manually reentering orders.

Can kiosk ordering work alongside counter, mobile, and tableside ordering?

Yes. GoTab enables operators to use kiosks as part of a flexible, hybrid service model that can also include staffed POS terminals, handhelds, QR code ordering, and mobile payment.
