2023 Product and Feature Review

  • The Pocket POS, our handheld point of sale system that offers all the functionalities of a traditional countertop POS, while also providing a secure digital check presenter for seamless table top payment processing
  • Get ready for our Self-Ordering Kiosk, a stand alone device that allows guests to place orders at their convenience. Soon, guests will even be able to open tabs and add to existing ones directly on the GoTab Kiosk. It is compatible with Android, and dedicated screens ranging from 10" to 20" or larger.
  • Take your manager dashboard on the go with our Manager App. Stay informed with real-time notifications for key events at your location, no matter where you are.
  • Experience the convenience of Guest Mode, where your guests can securely process payments, add tips, and close out their tabs without the need for a server to be present.
  • We're thrilled to offer the ability to Open Tabs with Apple Pay, enabling you to securely authorize payments and keep tabs open using Apple Pay. All payments are processed as card present transactions, ensuring security and convenience for your guests.
  • Manage and sell club memberships effortlessly with our Memberships & Subscriptions feature. Enjoy the flexibility of one-time enrollment or auto-renewing memberships with customizable renewal terms and automatic activation of member benefits.
  • Say goodbye to walkouts with our Insufficient Funds Protection. Each order placed is automatically authorized, and if the card on file cannot cover the additional items, the order will not be placed until a new form of payment is provided. This means you won't be responsible for any unpaid production.
  • Introducing GoTab Marketplace, a comprehensive solution for food halls, resorts, hotels, and other multi-merchant hospitality concepts. This integrated online ordering platform offers automatic remittances, revenue/tip sharing, and individual payouts for all vendors.
  • Enhance your service with Guest and Server Coursing. Empower your service staff and guests to map out the timing of their order, while providing your kitchen staff with the information they need to produce efficiently and consistently.
  • Hotels can now benefit from our Charge To Room feature, which allows orders to be charged directly to guests' rooms without requiring a separate payment transaction at the time of purchase.
  • Split Pay (POS and Guest Facing) - Split Pay revolutionizes the payment process, allowing tabs to be effortlessly divided for multiple payments. Whether at the POS or from the guest's phone, anyone sharing the tab can easily pay for their portion from their own device. With real-time updates as payments are collected, the Split Pay feature ensures a seamless and efficient payment experience for everyone involved.
  • KDS Search, Comp, Void, and 86 - this feature introduces direct updates to the POS without the need to request actions. Additionally, you can now search for items across all tabs and access item details directly from the KDS. This streamlines operations and enhances productivity for your staff.
  • New PMIX (Hypermix) - Gain valuable insights into your location's product sales with our enhanced PMIX feature. It provides in-depth breakdowns and customizable drilldowns, allowing you to analyze sales by fiscal days, categories, accounts, items, and more. Stay informed and make data-driven decisions for your business.
  • Adding CTA Buttons to Notices - Enhance the guest ordering experience with our new CTA Buttons feature. Prompt your guests to explore different menus, download coupons, or visit specific websites with notices that pop up at strategic times. This interactive feature adds a touch of convenience and engagement to their dining experience.
  • Added Flexibility to Adjust Sales Tax Inclusivity by Zone/Display - We understand the importance of easy cash handling, especially in specific areas. That's why we've introduced the ability to create sales inclusive zones, giving operators the flexibility to adjust sales tax inclusivity based on their specific needs. Simplify your cash handling processes and optimize operations.
  • Ability to Bulk Import Phone Numbers to Segments (ie: Loyalty Members) via CSV - Managing loyalty members has never been easier. With our new feature, you can easily import a list of members to dedicated segments, allowing you to apply discounts and permissions seamlessly. Situated “in the heart of it all, yet tranquil enough to make you feel away from it all too,” The Limelight Hotel Snowmass offers 99 hotel rooms and 11 residences, as well as footsteps-to-gondola access in winter and summer — right in the middle of Snowmass Base Village.

The Situation

Especially over the last few years, the Limelight Hotels IT team had witnessed a significant shift to contactless technology in the hospitality industry. After evaluating friction points in the guest journey, aligning with modern technology platforms in their restaurant was determined to be an effective way to offer elevated contactless dining experiences to their guests while also evolving their technology platforms to continue to support long-term company goals. Limelight Hotel partnered with GoTab to provide an enhanced on-demand dining experience on par with the brand’s reputation for exceptional guest service.

The Solution

Reducing Staff Touch Points Without Sacrificing Guest Experience

Guests are now able to begin a tab from their room or the property’s restaurant by scanning a QR code, texting a link to friends or family members on the ski slope to add in their orders, then meeting up together at the patio or lodge to enjoy their meal and après ski festivities without interruption. By streamlining tasks like inputting orders and processing payments, this eliminates friction for hotel staff and allows them to focus on delivering renowned guest service for a memorable experience. Since partnering with GoTab, Limelight Snowmass has consistently seen higher check averages and sales.

According to the Limelight Hotels team, some of the other platforms that were evaluated were either missing some of the pieces they were looking for, had weak customer support models, or had little willingness to develop integrations to existing hotel platforms already in place. To that end, GoTab integrated with cloud-based platform, Infor. Together, GoTab and Infor are providing dynamic solutions to support central, efficient service across hotel amenities and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Since introducing GoTab, The Limelight Hotel has seen a consistent level of upsells and items sold per check resulting in additional revenue capture. They have been able to maintain service levels in their restaurants during periods when there was reduced staffing available without significantly diminishing the guest experience.
